Home Users - Poster Photo Contest 

  1. The Home Recycling Challenge photo contest is open to children between 4-11 years old at the date of entry living in England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Entries must be submitted by a parent, guardian or a responsible adult on behalf of an entrant.
  2. One photo which displays an entrant’s recycling poster constitutes one entry. Each entrant may only submit one entry.
  3. Photos uploaded to the Home Recycling Hero picture gallery can be submitted using the Upload Photo button on wastebuster.co.uk/homerecyclingchallenge and filling in the required information and agreeing to these Terms and Condition. Images must be no more than 10MB in size.
  4. Identifying information provided by the parent/guardian/responsible adult for each entry will be used and be accessible by the Wastebuster team only.
  5. The closing date for entries is midnight on the 25th September 2017.
  6. Anyone may place a vote for a photo but may only vote once per photo.
  7. Wastebuster reserves the right to edit or adapt any of the photos submitted to this challenge.
  8. Wastebuster reserves the right to change or cancel this competition at any stage and without prior notice, if it deems necessary, or if circumstances arise outside of its control.

The Winner

  1. The winner’s prize is detailed in full in the Prize Bin area of the Challenge website.
  2. The household that wins the Home Recycling Challenge photo contest will be the entrant with the photo with the highest number of votes by the closing date. If, at the end of the closing date there are 2 or more entries with an equal number of votes the winner will be taken from a random draw between those entries.
  3. The winner will be notified by email (using the details provided by the parent/guardian/responsible adult on the entry form) by the 28th September 2017 and their prize issued by post within one month of the closing date.
  4. The winner may be required to provide the promoters with proof of identity and proof of their home address to establish eligibility before being confirmed as the final winner. No cash or alternative prize will be available.
  5. Unclaimed prizes: if for any reason the winner cannot be contacted for one month after the closing date or is unable to collect the prize, a different winner will be selected.
  6. The promoters reserve the right to substitute the winner’s prizes with similar prizes.

 
Additional Prizes

  1. All entrants who send in photos will receive a Recycling Hero Certificate from Captain Busta.
  2. The 10 photos with the next highest public votes (after the winner with the highest number of votes) will win a Green Science Kidz Labz pack.
  3. The recycling heroes entrants who send in the first 50 photos after the start of the campaign will receive a special recycling hero badge.
  4. Throughout the competition, Baby Busta Mascots will be given at random to entrants.
  5. Throughout the competition, 10 packs of exclusive Wastebuster Top Trumps will be given at random to entrants.
  6. The promoters reserve the right to substitute the additional prizes with similar prizes.

 
Promotions

  1. The promoters reserve the right to publish details of the entries, using the photo, first name of child and school name on the Wastebuster website, and in relation to the promoters’ home recycling campaigns and similar campaigns.
  2. The joint promoters of this competition are Wastebuster CIC Ltd of The Bothy, Albury Park, Albury, Guildford, Surrey. GU5 9BH and The Waste and Resources Action Programme (‘WRAP’) of Second Floor, Blenheim Court, 19 George Street, Banbury, Oxon, OX16 5BH.

 
Schools - Home Work Sheet Competition

  1. The School competition is open to primary schools in England, Scotland and Wales and Northern Ireland.
  2. Schools that submit the number of worksheets they have had returned by pupils using the Upload Report button on wastebuster.co.uk/homerecyclingchallenge must make sure they have completed the submission form. Additional numbers of home work sheets that have been returned can be submitted at any point up until the competition closing date and they will be added to a school’s total.
  3. Schools must keep their original worksheets as they will be required to produce them before being publicly nominated as the winner.
  4. The closing date for entries is midnight on the 25th September 2017.
  5. Wastebuster reserves the right to change or cancel this competition at any stage and without prior notice, if it deems necessary, or if circumstances arise outside of its control.

The Winner

  1. The winner’s prize is £1,000 and a school visit by Maddie Moate and Busta as detailed in full in the Prize Bin.
  2. The school that wins the Home Recycling Challenge will be the school that receives completed home worksheets from the highest percentage of pupils in their school. Where two or more schools have the same percentage of pupils returning home work sheets, they will be entered into a winner’s prize draw with the winner drawn at random.
  3. The winning school will be notified (using the details provided with the entry) within three weeks of the competition closing date and the prize money issued to them within one month of the closing date.
  4. No alternative prize will be available.
  5. Unclaimed prizes: if for any reason the winning school cannot be contacted for one month after the closing date or is unable to collect or take part in the prize, a different winner will be selected.

 
Additional Rewards

  1. The first 500 schools to register will receive a Home Recycling Challenge campaign pack in hardcopy.
  2. One of the first 100 schools to register will have an opportunity for Busta and Maddie beam in for an exciting assembly.
  3. The 100 schools with the highest percentage of pupils taking part in the Challenge will receive a Captain Busta Mascot. If there are more than 100 schools with a high % of pupils returning sheets that would qualify them to be equal contenders to be in the top 100, the winners will be selected by at random from that selection of schools.
  4. The promoters reserves the right to substitute the prizes with similar prizes.

 
Promotions

  1. The promoters reserves the right to publish details of the name of the schools registered with the Home Recycling Challenge. This could include on the Wastebuster website, and in relation to the promoters’ home recycling campaigns and similar campaigns.
